Coding Sensei (Instructor) in Borehamwood

Who Are We?

At Code Ninjas – the UK’s fastest-growing kids’ coding franchise – kids learn to code in a fun, safe, and inspiring environment we call the Dojo. Our students move through levels (just like martial arts!), building real-world skills in coding, problem-solving, and creativity — all while making the games they love.

What You'll Be Doing as a Sensei:

  • Guiding and encouraging kids as they learn to code through games and activities
  • Creating a positive and fun learning space where kids feel confident
  • Supporting during after-school hours, weekends, and school holidays
  • Assisting with coding camps, workshops, and regular sessions
  • Bringing energy, patience, and creativity to every session
  • Sharing feedback, ideas, and helping improve the dojo experience
  • Leading small groups and presenting when needed (don’t worry – we’ll help you get there!)

Extra information

What We're Looking For:

  • Experience working with children (e.g. teaching, camps, tutoring, mentoring)
  • A basic understanding of coding (Scratch, JavaScript, etc.) – or a willingness to learn
  • A positive attitude, great communication skills, and enthusiasm
  • Availability on weekends AND a weekday afternoons or evenings
  • Passion for inspiring kids and making tech education exciting
  • Bonus if you're confident leading or presenting to small groups!
