Online Maths Mentor – Flexible Remote Role

Join Axiom Maths, a UK charity dedicated to helping young people realise their mathematical potential. As an Online Maths Mentor, you’ll run small-group maths circles online, inspiring pupils and helping them see themselves as mathematicians. Flexible hours, paid training, and rewarding impact.

1 - 10 hours per week
Between £12.80 and £14.00 Per Hour

What are you going to do:

  • Deliver 1-hour online maths sessions using Axiom’s curriculum and training resources

  • Prepare for each session and provide pupil feedback

  • Report attendance and progress

  • Promote pupil engagement and a love of maths

  • Participate in training and quality-assurance sessions

What we offer

  • £45 per session (includes preparation, delivery, and reporting)

What we ask

  • At least finished college A levels
  • Completed or studying a STEM degree (or equivalent experience)
  • Strong conceptual understanding of maths
  • Experience working with young people
  • Excellent communication and online teaching skills
  • Right to work in the UK
  • Willingness to undergo an Enhanced DBS check
