Head of Finance – Exclusive Opportunity | Glasgow | Route to Finance Director


Salary: Up to £95,000 plus benefits


Lusona is delighted to be working exclusively with our client in Glasgow to recruit a Head of Finance for a pivotal leadership role within a dynamic and growing business.

This is an exciting opportunity for a fully qualified accountant with strong all-round accounting skills and proven leadership capabilities. The successful candidate will work closely with the CFO, supporting strategic decision-making and helping guide the business through a significant phase of growth and transformation.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee financial operations across multiple entities, including development and construction activities
  • Lead and develop the Finance Team, including direct management of the Financial Controller
  • Drive improvements in financial reporting, controls, and systems, including project-based finance environments
  • Support strategic planning, budgeting, and forecasting, including project-specific cash flow projections
  • Provide insightful analysis to aid commercial decision-making and liaise with funding institutions
  • Ensure robust project controls and accurate monthly reporting, including CVRs and financial packs
  • Directly manage financial reporting for infrastructure or building projects during the development phase, with the ability to influence project outcomes through financial insight and control


Candidate Profile:

  • Fully qualified accountant (CA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
  • Strong technical and commercial finance experience, ideally within construction or property development
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills
  • Proficient in financial modelling and project cash flow management
  • Experience in managing financial reporting for infrastructure or building projects during development
  • Ambitious and driven, with a clear desire to progress to Finance Director
