Role Overview
We are looking for a dedicated and motivated Assistant Driver to join our ever growing team. The ideal candidate will have a valid driver's licence with a clean driving record, and prior experience in a driving or logistics role, preferably in the pharmaceutical sector.
The role will be responsible for the transportation of pharmaceutical products, ensuring timely and safe deliveries.
Key Responsibilities
- Accurately pick our products from designated storage areas according to order specifications and packing lists
- Safely pack products for shipment, ensuring proper handling and protection to prevent damage during transit
- Conduct quality checks on picked items to ensure accuracy and compliance with company standards, including expiration dates and product integrity
- Assist in the safe and timely transportation of our products, and services to various locations
- Assist in loading and unloading products safely, ensuring proper handling and storage to prevent damage and maintain product integrity
- Perform routine checks on the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition and report any maintenance needs
- Prepare and maintain accurate transportation records, including delivery logs, manifests, and compliance documentation
- Assist with inventory counts and maintain accurate records of stock levels to support inventory management and replenishment processes
- Provide excellent customer service while interacting with clients and healthcare professionals during deliveries
Requirements
- Clean and full drivers licence
- Prior experience as a driver or in a similar role is preferred
- Understanding of safety protocols and best practices for transporting pharmaceutical products, including temperature control and handling hazardous materials
- Ability to lift and carry heavy items, as well as perform physical tasks associated with loading and unloading products
- Strong verbal communication skills for effective interaction with team members and clients
- Good organisational skills to manage delivery schedules and maintain accurate records
