Join the founding team of a brand-new not-for-profit Children’s Residential Home in Wimborne, Dorset and make a real difference from day one. At Agincare, you’ll be part of a family-run organisation that truly puts people first.


About the Role


We're looking for Support Workers who are caring, reliable and passionate about helping children with learning disabilities flourish. Experience working with children with disabilities is desirable, but not essential – we’ll give you all the training you need.


Responsibilities


  • Build positive, trusting relationships
  • Support daily routines (school runs, mealtimes, activities & more)
  • Help children develop independence and life skills
  • Use a therapeutic approach to support behaviour
  • Create fun, active, meaningful days
  • Join our sleep-in rota (approx. 4 per month)


Qualifications


  • No care experience required although previous experience is desirable
  • Either currently have or can be committed to completing your FREE NVQ Level 3 - fully funded



Required Skills


  • Experience with children with disabilities – desirable
  • Flexible and resilient
  • Driving licence desirable but not essential


Preferred Skills


  • Compassionate and patient
  • Understanding of autism and complex needs
  • Warm, compassionate and the ability to make people smile


Pay range and compensation package


  • £14.50 per hour | £15.50 per hour depending on experience and an NVQ Level 3 Qualification in Child Residential Care + enhanced overnight pay
  • FREE NVQ Level 3 in Residential Childcare
  • Full-time, part-time & bank contracts
