This role is about helping children feel confident, excited, and prepared to engage—without the demands of grading or lesson planning.

Novatio School is transforming how we think about student support. Our AI-driven learning platform delivers core academics in two intensive morning hours. Afternoons are reserved for live, interactive workshops where students explore interests, collaborate, and develop new skills.

You'll be responsible for maintaining momentum and ensuring seamless operations. Your job is to guide students through transitions, foster engagement in small-group settings, and provide encouragement when motivation wanes. Content delivery isn't your focus—but your presence will be critical to the success of every session.

What You Will Be Doing

• Facilitating live virtual workshops by coordinating breakout rooms, managing transitions, and overseeing group activities
• Encouraging student participation through direct messaging, recognition, and one-on-one outreach
• Keeping students focused, motivated, and actively involved throughout their learning sessions
• Providing logistical support to lead educators to ensure workshops operate without disruption
• Serving as a positive, reliable presence and culture contributor across bilingual programs and enrichment clubs

• Delivering academic instruction or teaching subject matter
• Developing lesson plans or evaluating student work
• Building curriculum or facilitating workshops independently

Online Youth Mentor Key Responsibilities

Facilitate engaging, virtual learning environments by ensuring students remain motivated, organized, and fully engaged during every workshop.

Basic Requirements

• Available to work Monday through Friday, 8am - 5pm US Mountain Time (UTC-7)
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in mentoring, coaching, tutoring, or youth leadership
• Educational experience within US, Canadian, or UK school systems (K-16) - must have been a student in one of these countries (current residence may be anywhere)
• Excellent communication abilities and strong proficiency with digital tools
• Student-centered approach with attention to detail and ability to manage smooth transitions

• Familiarity with online learning platforms or youth development programs

Working with us

This is a full-time (40 hours per week), long-term position. The position is immediately available and requires entering into an independent contractor agreement with Crossover as a Contractor of Record. The compensation level for this role is $20 USD/hour, which equates to $40,000 USD/year assuming 40 hours per week and 50 weeks per year. The payment period is weekly.
