What are you going to do:
Our centre is generally open June – mid August offering you the chance to work with 7-14 year old learners. EF’s students come from over 30 countries around the world.
In this role you will work alongside a co-leader to organise and produce a full activity and excursion timetable. You will also plan, prepare and deliver the EF academic programme through structured and interactive lessons and ensure a high level of customer service and student satisfaction.
Your key tasks will consist of, but not be limited to:
- Assisting with student arrivals and departures.
- Delivering an initial welcome briefing to students.
- Promoting, attending and running all activities for your group.
- Lesson planning and preparation before each class.
- Teaching classes every weekday following the EF methodology.
- Monitoring daily attendance and keeping up to date records and paperwork.
- Attending all leader and teacher meetings.
- Ensuring the EF behaviour code is followed by students at all times and inform management immediately if there are any issues or problems.
- Dealing with problems and emergency situations should they arise.
What we offer:
You will live and work on site in our Residential Centres or commute from home to our Homestay Centres.
What we ask:
- Either a PGCE or BEd (with knowledge of EFL/EAL). Online TEFL (minimum 60 hours) with teaching experience. Online TEFL (minimum 60 hours) blended with a two day practical. Face-to-face TEFL (minimum 60 hours)
- Experience from working with children is preferred but not essential as full training will be given.
- Enthusiastic, organised and a natural leader.
- Highly responsible, approachable and friendly.
- Have the ability to create a positive learning environment.
- Have the right to live and work in the country of employment.
- Complete fluency in English.
- Attend training prior to your contract commencing.
