Teaching Assistant – Bishop Auckland

Location: Bishop Auckland

Pay: £507 - £550 per week

Hours: Monday – Friday | Full-time/Part-time

Start Date: ASAP

Milk Education is recruiting a motivated and caring Teaching Assistant to support pupils and teachers in primary schools across Bishop Auckland. This is a fantastic opportunity for both new and experienced TAs to make a real difference in an inclusive environment that champions diversity, equality, and pupil wellbeing.


The Role – Teaching Assistant

  • Support pupils one-to-one or in small groups, including those with SEND
  • Assist teachers in delivering engaging lessons and activities
  • Help maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment
  • Prepare learning resources and support administrative tasks
  • Support behaviour management and pupil engagement


Essential Requirements

  • Relevant qualifications (e.g., CACHE Level 2/3, NVQ, or equivalent)
  • Experience working in schools or with children
  • Ability to support pupils with additional learning needs
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Reliable, adaptable, and passionate about helping children learn
