Sous Chef – Canary Wharf

We’re looking for a skilled Sous Chef to join a busy kitchen in Canary Wharf, serving Turkish and Levantine cuisine with strong Mediterranean influences.

Work under a great Head Chef and be part of a tight, ambitious team.

The role

  • Work closely with the Head Chef on menu development
  • Run your sections confidently across the kitchen
  • Train and develop junior chefs
  • Manage ordering, stock, and kitchen standards
  • Maintain high HACCP and health & safety standards

You’ll be hands-on, contributing ideas, and helping shape the kitchen.

What you’ll be cooking

  • Turkish and Levantine dishes with bold Mediterranean flavours
  • Grill-focused dishes
  • Small, evolving menu with room to contribute on breads and desserts

The setup

  • 10 chefs in the brigade
  • 20–40 covers at lunch, up to 80 at dinner
  • Brand-new kitchen

What we need

  • Strong all-rounder across sections
  • Experience in a premium kitchen
  • Confident on the grill
  • Comfortable contributing ideas and working closely with the Head Chef

Package & Hours

  • 45 hours per week, 5 shifts
  • 29 days holiday
  • Chef uniform provided
  • Immediate start preferred, but we’re happy to wait for the right notice period
