SUPPORT WORKER 2 - W526 in Glasgow

Around since 1923, SAMH is Scotland’s national mental health charity. Today, SAMH operates 60 services in communities across Scotland providing mental health social care support, homelessness, addictions and employment services among others. These services, together with our national programme work in See Me, respectme, suicide prevention and active living; inform our policy and campaign work to influence positive social change.

What are you going to do:

These services support people who have been diagnosed with ARBD (Alcohol Related Brain Damage).
The successful candidates should be able to establish supportive relationships with service users and offer them practical and emotional support. They will be able to demonstrate a solution focused approach to their work and a commitment to developing good team work practice.

Some knowledge and experience of working with ARBD and the complexity this can have on service users would be an advantage but not essential as training will be given.

Your duties will be the same as our Support Workers in demonstrating a solution focused approach to their work and a commitment to developing good team work practice.
