Training Officer

Job description

Venesky-Brown’s client, a public sector organisation in Glasgow, is currently looking to recruit x 2 Training Officers for initial 12 month contract on a salary of £29,718 - £38,661/annum. These roles will be based onsite with occasional working from home-to be discussed at interview.

Responsibilities:

- Support the Operations Lead Training Officer with the planning, design and delivery of training as required.

- Work as part of a team to prepare and deliver training.

- Update training materials to ensure they reflect any changes to regulations/legislation and the Operational Rulebook

- Ensure all training activity administration systems are completed in a timely manner to the standards required.

- Support the organisation of training activities, including accommodation and equipment.

- Assist in the planning and delivery of competency training and assessments.

Essential Skills:

- Advanced software and system training expertise within an operations regulated environment

- Strong process analytical skills

- Attention to detail in safety‑critical environments and activities

- Ability to follow set training analysis, design, delivery and evaluation models

- Expert use of training authoring tools (interactive e-learning content creation)

- A working knowledge of learning management systems

- Production of CGI to simplify and aid understanding of learners’ needs of technical subjects

- Confident and articulate communicator at all levels of the organisation

- Ability to facilitate various workshops, training and meetings

- Adaptable personal communication style depending on the audience requirements

- Ability to work on own and with others to meet goals required by the Company, function and or team

- Work in a courteous and respectful manner at all times

- Training Qualification

- Assessor Award (A1 or equivalent D32/33)

- Essential Digital Skills Qualifications (EDSQ), Digital Functional Skills (FSQs)

Desirable Skills:

- Training within the transport/rail sector

- Microsoft applications
