RESIDENTIAL ACTIVITY LEADERS & CHOREOGRAPHERS NEEDED FOR 13 UK SUMMER CENTRES

Duties and responsibilities: Ensuring student well-being in collaboration with the Activity and Campus Managers and PLUS Head Office, adhering to our safeguarding policy. Being a positive and enthusiastic presence on campus, interacting with students to aid English practice. Promoting, organising, and running all activities set out by PLUS and coordinated by the Activity Manager. Encouraging and motivating students to participate in activities. Supervising groups on trips and excursions.

Location: 

London Kingston, London Uxbridge, London Windsor, Bath, Brighton, Canterbury, Chelmsford, Chester, Edinburgh, Effingham, Loughborough, Stirling, Dublin.

Details of Position:

As an Activity Leader / Choreographer, you will report to the Activity Manager and the Campus Manager, working as part of the Campus Leisure Team, taking responsibility for the supervision of students between 7:30 am and 11 pm, according to the roster (Please bear in mind that if needed, you could be working between 48-60 hours/w). Your main duties will be promoting, organising, and running daily activities and events. These include activities on campus such as sports activities, movie nights, themed discos, dance sessions, and meal supervision; and activities off-campus such as excursions to major cities and nearby attractions either on public transport or by coach and airport transfers.

Contracts will start June / July 2019 depending on the campus, and will run for
between 2 and 8 weeks.

Skills required:

  • Native or C2 level English speaker.
  • Enthusiastic and positive.
  • Initiative and creativity.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to work as part of a team.
  • Willing and able to work long hours.

  • Valuable experience of working with children and young people.
  • Experience of an international environment with different cultures and backgrounds.
  • Opportunity to live and work in a new city and/or visit attractions.
  • Full training and induction prior to student arrivals including safeguarding and prevent training.

What we offer:

  • Salary of between £281 and £343 per week based on experience
  • Full board accommodation in student halls of residence or similar paid for by PLUS
  • Breakfast, lunch, and evening meal included with at least two choices of each meal.

  • Vaild DBS check - dated within three months of contract start date.
