Sports Therapy / Rehab Internship

Hendon Football Club is offering an exciting opportunity for a Sports Therapy/Rehab student to complete their placement during the 2019/2020 Season. This is a great opportunity to expand on their current knowledge and develop new skills within a Medical Department.  The candidate will be expected to (but not limited to) help with the day-to-day running of the Medical Department, assist with First Team Match Day Medical Care, Pre and Post Match Massage and Soft Tissue Therapy and the implementation of Rehabilitation Programs. 

1 - 10 hours per week
Between £0.00 and £1.00 Per Week

What are you going to do:

Assist First team sports therapist on match days and/or training sessions. Some of the skills the candidate may be required to demonstrate or build on are:

  • Pre and post match sports massage,
  • Preventative taping methods,
  • Fitness testing and record keeping,
  • Creating appropriate rehabilitation programs and prefab,
  • Assessments and diagnosis of injuries,
  • Athlete nutrition / hydration advice and Crowd first aid
