Chocolate Chip Cookies In 7 Easy Steps

Do you have a sweet tooth? Looking for an easy recipe to fix that sugar craving? Well you’re at the right place - here is a quick and simple recipe to make mini chocolate chip cookies.


Chocolate Chip Cookies

Ingredients (Makes about 50 cookies)

  • 210g plain flour

  • ½ teaspoon salt

  • 1 teaspoon baking soda

  • 115g unsalted butter (room temperature)

  • 110g brown sugar

  • 67g granulated sugar

  • 1 large egg

  • 1 ½ teaspoons vanilla extract

  • 130g chocolate chips

Method

  1. Preheat the oven to 180°C/350°F/gas mark 4. Line a baking tray with greaseproof paper.

  2. Mix the flour, salt and baking soda together and set aside.

  3. In a separate bowl, cream the butter, brown sugar and granulated sugar until the consistency is creamy and smooth. Then add the egg and vanilla extract and mix.

  4. Gradually mix in the flour until everything is combined. Following this, stir in the chocolate chips.

  5. Shape the dough into tiny balls, approximately 1 ½ teaspoons of dough.

  6. Place on baking tray with greaseproof paper and bake for approximately 6-8 minutes, or until your cookies are golden brown.

  7. Let them cool on the baking tray for 2 mins then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.

Note: The middle of the cookies may look and feel quite moist when you take them out the oven, do not worry - they will harden whilst they cool down.

Tip: If you prefer your cookies to be less sweet, add a little less sugar - they will still be tasty!
