Earn with Youtube

When most people think of YouTube, the first thing that comes to mind is that this is a place they can go to pass time, watch music videos, and learn some DIY tricks. But did you know that there exists another group that views YouTube as a money-making machine? Or even a way that you could include it in your CV? In 2018, PewDiePie made global news headlines for being the highest-paid YouTuber, after walking away with $12.9 million.

Yes, you read that right! While it does take some effort, time, and patience to start earning from YouTube, these efforts can eventually pay off, helping you earn large amounts.  But how can you earn from YouTube?

Create a YouTube Account and Activate AdSense

If you’re looking for tips on how to make money on YouTube Shopify the first thing to do is to open a YouTube account. For those that have already been using Google products, all they need to do is to activate their accounts, as they already have one. Activating will include linking to the channel using the YouTube account page.

Once it’s operational, the next step will involve linking an AdSense account. Google primarily uses the AdSense advertising engine on all its partner sites, e.g., YouTube. When creating the account, ensure you also submit your payment details, including tax reporting data, e.g., Employee ID Number or Social Security Number.

Create Videos

You now need to start making videos. Here, you should note that there’s no universal model for what will and will not work on YouTube. Popular content ranges from professional music videos submitted by international artists to impromptu family videos shot at a family barbeque. If using a phone, make sure to record in HD to get the best quality. An external microphone connected to a DSLR camera will produce a better video.

When done shooting the video, use desktop programs such as iMovie or the free Windows Movie Maker to edit it. If you have some money to spare, go for the paid programs that offer better and more advanced features. YouTube also provides its own editor that comes with your everyday features.

As you edit, make sure to stay away from copyrighted music as this will make them ineligible for submission.

Upload the Video to YouTube and Configure It for SEO

Having completed the video, it’s now time for you to upload it. There are two ways to do this depending on your internet connection and the size of the video.

Fill out its information as you continue with the upload. You need to provide as much information as you can when creating the tags, title, category, and description. Remember that YouTube is one of the leading search engines available today.

Using good search optimization techniques will determine whether you will only get a few views or whether you will end up with more than a million views.

Promote the Video

When you’re done uploading, start promoting it. This will include sharing it on message boards, social networks, forums, and blogs. You can also link to it or embed it on other sites to ensure that it’s viewed by as many people as possible.

Remember that the money you earn in your AdSense account is determined by advertisers that show up on that particular video, the number of views it has, and the number of times viewers have clicked on the ads. Clicks and higher engagement are often more important compared to the overall number of views.

But ultimately, the more views you have, the higher your chances of getting more clicks! Overall, it is a great way to potentially earn money by having a fun side hustle!
